Indian Army pays rich tribute to Braveheart Naik Bidhan Ghising, at his native place in Darjeeling

The mortal remains of Army soldier Bidhan Ghising were brought from Srinagar to Bagdogra on Wednesday and were further taken to his native village on the same day.

Darjeeling: The last rites of Naik Bidhan Ghising, who made supreme sacrifice while serving in Jammu and Kashmir, was conducted on Thursday in a solemn ceremony at his native place Pussimbing near Darjeeling with full military honours.

The mortal remains of Army soldier Bidhan Ghising were brought from Srinagar to Bagdogra on Wednesday and were further taken to his native village on the same day.

The casket containing the mortal remains of the soldier was wrapped in tricolour and taken to the cremation ground.

A large number of people had gathered and joined the soldier’s family on Bidhan Ghising’s final journey amid chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

The Commander of Darjeeling Military station along with several senior army officers, District Magistrate & Superintendent of Police at Darjeeling, public representatives attended the last rites and paid their tribute to the braveheart and his family.
