New Delhi: A total of 12,608 people tested positive for Covid-19 in India, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
The total caseload rose to 4,42,98,864 while the death toll touched 5,27,206 as 72 more succumbed to the disease.
On a positive note, 16,251 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,36,70,315. The recovery rate stands at 98.58 percent.
The active cases stand at 1,01,343, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin issued by the Ministry, 88.14 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 208.95 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
