Imphal: The Home Department, Government of  Manipur, in an order issued on September 1, 2021, has opened an Inner Line Permit (ILP) counter at the Jiribam Railway Station in anticipation of the reopening of the Jiribam-Silchar railway passenger line to facilitate the registration of Inner Line Permits of both entry and exit under the Manipur Inner Liner Permit Rules, 2019.

Further, exit counters will be set up at Imphal Airport, Mao Gate and Jiribam Gate for recording the exit of ILP holders of the state.

In another order, issued on the same day, by the Home Department, Government of Manipur, an ILP monitoring Cell have been set up with the Deputy Inspector General (Intl) as Chairperson and SP CID (Technical), Jt Director (IT) and Dy Secretary (Home) as Members to ensure proper recording of persons entering and exiting Manipur with ILPs and to track down those who have overstayed and take necessary action.

All Resident Commissioners of Manipur Bhavans, all DCs and Dy Labour Commissioner will use the e-ILP platforms after its formal launch on September 2, 2021, the order added.
