Imphal: The Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) with a 3-day photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with a special focus on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, organised by the Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal, at the INA Martyr’s Memorial, Moirang, has concluded.
As the resource person, Konjengbam Kiranjit Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Moirang College, Moirang, delivered a speech on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s life history and also highlighted the contributions of the Moirang people to the Indian National Army at Moirang.
On the final day, students from Moirang’s schools and colleges competed in an impromptu speech contest on the theme. Md. Rafijuddin Shah, Assistant Prof, Dept. of Political Science, Moirang College, Moirang, and Philem Tampakleima Devi, Lecturer, History, Moirang Higher Secondary School, were the jury members.
Prizes were distributed for school and college categories in an extempore speech contest, a written quiz competition, an essay competition, and an on-the-spot quiz contest. Students of Diligent Public School, LCM School, Moirang Higher Secondary School, Young Learners’ School, Churachandpur, and Moirang College were the winners. All participants were also provided certificates of participation.
Private Registered Troupes (PRT) of CBC, RO, Imphal presented a drama on Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, said a press note from Programme-in-charge, Thokchom Anthony.
