Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police on Saturday arrested two Juveniles in the alleged gang-rape of a 17-year-old girl in Jubilee Hills area on May 28.

With this, three involved in the case were arrested. Police arrested Saduddin Malik on Friday.

A total of five accused, all students, involved in the crime were identified so far. Efforts are on to arrest the remaining two, including a Juuvenile who are absconding.

A police release here said, in continuation of the arrest of youngster Saduddin Malik yesterday, two CCLs (Child in Conflict with Law) were apprehended by Jubilee Hills police today and they were being produced before the Juvenile Court for their safe custody.

On Saturday evening, the girl had gone to a pub for a party and reportedly befriended a boy and left with him and his friends in a car. They had allegedly promised to drop her home. The five allegedly parked the car at Jubilee Hills and took turns raping the girl while the others stood guard outside the car.

When the girl’s father noticed injuries to her neck and asked her about them, she reportedly told him some boys had attacked her after a party at the pub. The police initially registered a case of “outraging modesty” based on the girl’s father’s complaint.

Later, when she gave a detailed statement, a case under sections 354 and 323 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 9 read with 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered.

The girl’s father said in his complaint “At about 5.30 pm on May 28, she was taken out of the pub by a few guys in a car. Later, they misbehaved with my daughter and assaulted her, she has minor injuries on her neck. Since then, my daughter has been in deep shock and has been unable to disclose what exactly happened.”

Meanwhile, National Students Union of India (NSUI) volunteers led by its state president B Venkat held dharna in front of Director General of Police (DGP) office protesting against the minor girl gang rape and demanded stern action against the culprits.

They also alleged that the police were attempting to dilute the case. Meanwhile, police who intervened arrested them and sent them to a nearby police station.
