Hyderabad: Minor girl gang-raped by youngsters in Mercedes car

Hyderabad: A teenage girl, returning from a party, was allegedly gang-raped by a group of youngsters in a car at a posh locality of Jubilee hills here Saturday last, police informed on Friday.

However, when she was sent for medical examination and later to the Hyderabad Bharosa Centre for psychological help, she revealed to the women officials on Friday that she was actually gang-raped.

The girl’s father, in his complaint earlier alleged that when his daughter was returning home in a car along with a few boys after attending a party at a pub in Jubilee hills, three or four boys sexually abused her.

On Saturday, the girl, on the invitation of her male friend, went to the party with the consent of her family members. Though the party was held in public, it was a non-alcoholic event, police said.

At the party, a few boys met the victim and later they all left the premises together.

After the party, the minor girl and a few youngsters got into two cars and went to a bakery in Banjara hills and later, the occupants of the car in which she was travelling, on the pretext of dropping her at the residence, took her for a ride and allegedly outraged her modesty.

She, however, escaped from their clutches and returned home.

Based on the girl’s new statement, the Jubilee Hills police have altered the sections to that of rape and are investigating.

They have formed teams to identify the youngsters. The pub management, staff, guests at the party and the victim’s friends are also being questioned.

Police were verifying CCTV footage to identify the accused.

We are verifying the role of the kin of two politicians and a person from an affluent family in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a minor girl, police said when asked about the role of two suspects are sons of public representatives.

Until, we verify and we can’t come to a conclusion, police added.
