Gangtok: Chief Minister PS Tamang has wished people on the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation on 2nd October. In his message CM said “I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Mahatma Gandhi is the embodiment of peace and non-violence.
Gandhiji’s path of Ahimsa and his commitment to democracy and humanity are universal and revered throughout the World. Let us remind ourselves of his ideals and pledge to work for peace, prosperity in our nation.
I hope that the birth anniversary of the ‘Father of the Nation’ will strengthen the spirit of unity among the people and promote peace and tolerance.”
“Once again, I appeal to the people of Sikkim to be active members of society and maintain cleanliness, hygiene and renounce the use of plastics in the state,” said CM Tamang.
