Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday condemned the bomb blast near an Army Camp in eastern Assam’s Jorhat district on Thursday evening.
The bomb blast was carried out by the banned insurgent group Ulfa-Independent.
Sarma said that ULFA-Independent engages in minor incidents every year to assert its existence.
The CM said that such incidents would take the economy of Assam backward. Such acts should be stopped, he added.
