Hamirpur: The Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh is gearing up to get all those in the eligible age group to be fully vaccinated by November 30 by carrying out the vaccination drives every day, the chief medical officer said.
As many as 2, 27,801 people have been given the second dose of the Covid vaccine so far, Hamirpur CMO Dr R.K. Agnihotri said after a district-level monthly review meeting with the health department officials here on Tuesday.
The CMO said the department has decided to vaccinate all those left out by November 30.
Deputy Commissioner Debasweta Banik has directed all BMOs and District Program Officers to work expeditiously on the Covid-19 vaccination goal.
She has directed Divisional Health Officers to keep a close tab on the lists of vaccinated from all CVC points as well as those administered by ASHA workers. It should be handed over to the department every evening. They must also ensure all those not vaccinated be sent to the nearest centre.
The vaccination sessions for Covid-19 will be conducted every day and even on government holidays, Agnihotri said.
