High powered committee reviews progress of new assembly building

Shillong: The High Powered Committee on Thursday held a review meeting on the ongoing works of the new Meghalaya Assembly building, following up on the earlier meeting held on August 18.

The meeting was chaired by Hon’ble Speaker Thomas A Sangma and attended by Hon’ble Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker Limison Sangma, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Ministers Prestone Tynsong & Sniawbhalang Dhar, Hon’ble Dr. Mukul Sangma, Leader of Opposition , Hon’ble MLAs Banteidor Lyngdoh & Rupert Momin, Chief Secretary Dr. Shakil P. Ahammed, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Secretary Malthus S Sangma, Dr. Andrew Simons Adviser (Legislation), Deputy Secretary Raja Kharpuri, Cyril V. Darlong Diengdoh Commissioner and Secretary Parliamentary Affairs Department, Dr. Vijay Kumar D Commissioner & Secretary, Finance and officers from the PWD and other state government departments.
