Amaravati: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours and on September 28 and 29, Meteorological Centre said on Monday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that the same situation is likely to prevail in Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours and on September 29.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours and on September 28 & 29 and in Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours and on September 29.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is very likely to occur at many places or at a few places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
Southwest Monsoon has withdrawn from parts of southwest Rajasthan, on September 25 against its normal date of withdrawal on September 17.
Heavy rain occurred at one or two places in Vizianagaram district of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and YSR District and Chittoor district of Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.
Rain occurred at many places in Rayalaseema, few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and dry weather prevailed in Yanam during the same period.
Southwest monsoon has been active in Rayalaseema and normal in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, the report added.
