Kangpokpi: Under the initiative of the State Government’s 1st 100 days Action Plan and as part of the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Kangpokpi Block Health Society organised Block Health Mela at the Mandap Hall, Kangpokpi Ward No. 11 Friday in Kangpokpi district.
As part of the Mela, free healthcare and other services were provided to the residents living in and around the area which included Paediatric OPD, Psychiatry OPD/counseling for drug de-addiction, Obs. & Gynae OPD, Eye OPD, Dental OPD, NCD clinic including Chief Minister’s Health for All scheme (CMHA) & health ID generation, Ayush OPD & RBSK (screening for congenital anomalies for children under 0-6 yrs), Adolescent/RKSK Clinic – distribution of free sanitary napkins to adolescent girls and PMJAY & CMHT scheme – enrollment including linkage of Aadhar with mobile number.
Free services were also provided including awareness and interaction on the National Vector Borne Diseases Control Program, National TB Elimination Program, National Leprosy Eradication Program, National Viral Hepatitis Control Program, ICTC, Covid-19 vaccination, routine immunization & family planning services, lab diagnosis and ultrasound, distribution of essentials drugs, UDID – registration for a disability certificate, awareness on nutrition under Poshan Abhiyaan and telemedicine consultation.
The main function was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi, Kengoo Zuringla, as the chief guest; CEO SH-ADC, Kangpokpi James Doujapao Haokip and Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Committee (KTC) Angam Leivon, as the guest of honour and CMO Kangpokpi Dr. Lamkhoneng Haokip, as the functional president.
The mela was also attended by ADM/ADC Kangpokpi Laishram Manikanta Singh and Chairman of BHS Kangpokpi; Dr. Paotinlal Haokip, Secretary BHS Kangpokpi, DH Kangpokpi &, Health officials, district level officers among others.
