Bishnupur: Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, today led the Har Ghar Tiranga Rally from Block Lamkhai, Bishnupur, which culminated at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.
The rally, organised by the District Administration, Bishnupur, was attended by DC Pooja Elangbam, ADM Bishnupur T. Opendro, AC to DC S. Gunamani, District Level Officers, officials from various departments, students from different schools across the district and CRPF personnel. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting the spirit of patriotism and national unity.
Later, Partition Horrors Remembrance Day 2026 was observed at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur. As part of the programme, a two-minute silence was observed in solemn memory of all those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragic events surrounding the Partition of India.
Meanwhile, across the district, schools under Zonal Education Zone-IV have been conducting various activities as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Several schools organised Tiranga rallies led by their teachers, with students participating enthusiastically and spreading the message of patriotism, unity and respect for the national flag.
