Imphal: Several district administrations in Manipur held various events including Eat Right Walkathon and East Right Mela as a part of the ‘Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in connection with the celebration of 75th year of India’s Independence.
District Administration, Bishnupur organized a Walkathon under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign Thursday to inspire the people of the district to hoist the national flag atop their homes.
Students in large numbers with the tricolor in hand marched from Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School led by Deputy Commissioner Lourembam Bikram. SP Bishnupur, N. Herojit Meitei along with other district officials and NYK volunteers also joined the walkathon.
Addressing the gathering at INA Memorial Complex in Moirang, the culmination point of the walkathon, Deputy Commissioner Lourembam Bikram highlighted that Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is to evoke sense of patriotism in the hearts of the people while urging the gathering to hoist the National Flag at their homes from August 13 to 15.
The Food Safety Administration, Chandel, in collaboration with Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) and District Agriculture office Chandel organized “Eat Right Walkathon and Eat Right Mela” and District Agriculture Fair, 2022 Thursday at Multi Purpose Hall, Mini Secretariat, Chandel.
As part of the programme, an Eat Right Walkathon was flag off from the Indoor stadium, Japhou Bazar by the Deputy Commissioner Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar.
The opening function of the food mela was graced by the Deputy Commissioner Chandel , Mayanglam Rajkumar, CMO Chandel,
Dr. Serthani Serbum , ADC Chnadel, MD. Firoj Khan, State Food Analyst (SFA), state public health Laboratory, Lamphel Ch.Sanajaoba Meitei as Chief Guest, President and Guests of Honour respectively.
During the function State Food Analyst (SFA), of state public health Laboratory, Lamphel, Ch. Sanajaoba Meitei interacted with the audience specially the students present in the function and spoke in length about safe and hygienic food.
Joining the other districts of Manipur and the rest of the country, the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign is being carried out in full swing at various parts of Kamjong district.
So far, the District Administration Kamjong has distributed 6491 flags received from GAD to the officials of various departments and the public. It has also displayed hoardings at five different locations of the district. The hoarding mentions everyone to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Posters provided by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Manipur have been displayed at the DC office complex and all the District level offices.
Meanwhile, the office of Zonal Education Officer, Kamjong has been organizing a series of school events in all the government, government-aided and private schools of the district to instill a feeling of patriotism and sense of ownership to the students.
Starting from August 8, various school-level competitions on painting, essay writing, slogan writing, debate, song competitions and also Prabhat pheris are being held. Prizes for all these events will be distributed on August 15 at the respective schools.
Bringing the flag home even in the furthest corner of the State so as to invoke a sense of ownership/patriotism to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the spirit of community participation, the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) Campaign started Thursday morning at the District Headquarter led by the SDO Tipaimukh/Vangai I Dineshkumar Singh.
Holding the tricolor and chanting the HGT slogan “We will hoist the tricolor at home and celebrate the festival of freedom”, a flag rally from the DC Office Complex to the Village Square was held along with CSOs, the Public and Philanthropic Organisations.
Similar demonstration under Har Ghar Tiranga was also held by Schools under ZEO Pherzawl District. Drawing Competition on Har Ghar Tiranga was also organised in Schools under ZEO, Pherzawl District on 9th August 2022.
Flex Banners provided by Directorate of Information & Public Relations, Govt. of Manipur were also put on display at the DC Office Complex at the District Headquarters, DC Camp Office in Churachandpur, CMO Office, SP Office, SDO Office in Parbung and Vangai. Posters were also pasted on walls in different locations across the District.
The Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal, Mannuamching led the campaign of Har Ghar Tiranga by distributing the national flag to commuters and transporters of goods on the National Highway No.1 Thursday.
The district level officers and staff of different departments participated in the distribution and pasting of posters in government offices, educational institutions and along the highway.
As a part of the campaign, essay competitions were also held for students of government aided and private schools.
