Imphal: Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today chaired the 3rd Meeting of the Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur (2026) at Lok Bhavan, Imphal.
The meeting reviewed a range of matters concerning the welfare, rehabilitation, and resettlement of ex-servicemen, war widows, and their dependents. Discussions focused on strengthening the delivery of welfare measures and enhancing institutional support for the veteran community across the State.
Key agenda items included the construction of a new Sainik Rest House-cum-Office Complex, strengthening of manpower for improved outreach in the districts, and other initiatives aimed at strengthening the functioning of the Rajya Sainik Board.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur; Commissioner (Home); Special Secretary (Finance); General Officer Commanding, 57 Mountain Division; Deputy Commissioners of Imphal East, Imphal West and Churachandpur; members of the Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur; and representatives of the ex-servicemen community.
