Governor Acharya greets people of Manipur on Diwali

Imphal: The Governor of Manipur, Lakhsman Prasad Acharya greeted the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. In hhis message Governor Acharya said that Diwali is undoubtedly one of the biggest festivals of the Hindus and is celebrated across the length and breadth of the country.

Further, this festival is also known as the festival of light and signifies the triumph of the good over the evil.  “The illumination on this day marks the joy and happiness on the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. Let the light of Diwali dispel hatred, enmity and disunity among the people of the State”, the Governor’s message added.

Joining  the people of Manipur in the celebration of Diwali, Governor Acharya prayed that this festival may bring peace and prosperity to the State.
