GOC Trishakti Corps flags off “Team Wanderers” on ride across Sikkim and NE region

"Under the aegis of the Ministry of DoNER, the Army bikers will ride across North East India and meet the Armed Forces personnel deployed in forward areas and express gratitude for their services rendered to defend the nation".

Siliguri: Lieutenant General Tarun Kumar Aich, General Officer Commanding,  Trishakti Corps, has flagged off “Team Wanderers”, a group of bikers on a mission to ride across North East India. 

“Under the aegis of the Ministry of DoNER, the Army bikers will ride across North East India and meet the Armed Forces personnel deployed in forward areas and express gratitude for their services rendered to defend the nation”.

As the nation is celebrating 75 years of independence and setting milestones for the next 25 years of Amrit Kaal, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav has truly become a national festival, with every Indian expressing the fervour in their own way and this NER Flag Ride is another way of celebrating India 75 years of independence. 

The team had earlier visited Kargil on Vijay Diwas and now will ride to Natu La, Guru Dongmar Lake of Sikkim, Tezpur in Assam, Kaho village in Arunachal Pradesh, culminating the event at Guwahati after covering a distance of 485 km of North East India.
