Go to HC: SC refuses to entertain petition for quashing FIR against Sisodia

The Top Court in its order said that he must move the trial court or the Delhi High Court for the reliefs he is seeking from the SC.

New Delhi: Major setback for arrested Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, as the Supreme Court refused to entertain his petition for quashing of the FIR or in the alternative grant him bail from CBI custody.

The Top Court in its order said that he must move the trial court or the Delhi High Court for the reliefs he is seeking from the SC.

Sisodia withdrew his petition from the Supreme Court, after it passed the order.

A bench of the Supreme Court, headed by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dr Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chadrachud passed the order after hearing Sisodia’s petition.

Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Sisodia, vehemently opposed the remand granted to his client and said that he has fully and always cooperated with the probe agency as and required.
