Girls outshine boys in 10th & 12th board exams in UP

While in the 10th Board 88.18 per cent of total students got success, in 12th Board the pass percentage was 85.33 per cent.

Prayagraj: Girls have again outshone boys in the 10th and 12th Board of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Siksha Parishad.

While in the 10th Board 88.18 per cent of total students got success, in 12th Board the pass percentage was 85.33 per cent.

The results were announced separately by the Parishad director Dr. Sarita Tiwari here on Saturday. In the 12th Board , girls pass percentage was 90.15 % and the boys success was 81.21%.

Divyanshi of Fatehpur with 95.40 % marks topped the Intermediate boards exams while Anshika Yadav from Prayagraj with 95 % marks was on the second spot. In the 10th Board exams the girls pass percentage was 91.69 per cent while of the boys was 85.25 per cent.

Prince Patel of Kanpur was the topper among the boys with 97.67 % while Sanskriti Thakur and Kiran Kushawaha of Moradabad were jointly on the second spot and topper among the girls. Aniket Sharma of Kannauj was on the third place.

The Class 10 Board exams were conducted from March 24 to April 13 and Class 12 Board exams were conducted from March 24 to April 13 in the state.

A total of 51,92,689 students had registered but only 47,75,749 students out of them had finally appeared in the exams of both the Boards. 

A total of 27.8 lakh students had appeared for Class 10 and 24.1 lakh candidates appeared for Class 12 board exams.
