Get migrant workers registered in respective police stations

Hamirpur (HP): District Magistrate Debasweta Banik through an order has directed the migrant laborers to get registered in the police stations where they are living or serving.

While issuing an order under section 144 Saturday, she said for the safety of life and property and to prevent untoward incidents, migrant workers and other workers in the district must get themselves registered.

The District Magistrate has said the migrants engaged in earning a livelihood or doing business as hawkers, shawl sellers, hawkers, contractors, and others doing labor work should be sent to the police station of the concerned areas with their complete documents.
