Shillong: The Government of Meghalaya, in a notification, has announced the date for the General Elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, 2021. This was informed by the Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, District Council Affairs Department.
The last date for filing of nominations is March 15, 2021 before 3:00 PM, date of scrutiny of nomination papers is March 15, 2021 after 3:00 PM, last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is March 19, 2021, date of finalization and publication of valid nominations and allocation of symbols is March 22, 2021. Polling will take place on April 12, 2021 from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and counting of votes will be held on April 15, 2021, the notification added.
