Gandhi Jayanti observation at Senapati District Headquarter

The programme activity includes Plog Run, collection and disposal of waste, village beautification, cleanliness and maintenance of Traditional water sources. The programme was participated by 150 youths.

Senapati: Joining with the rest of the country, the District Administration, Senapati also observed the National Cleanliness Day which was led by Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati. On paying due respect to the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, social services for cleanliness was conducted in and around the respective government offices areas and Senapati Town area from all section of people.

It may be also mentioned that Nehru Yuva Kendra, Senapati began the “Clean India” programme the day before as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava and to be continued till the end of this month. The programme was launched by Benjamin Tao, Ex- Executive Member, Autonomous District Council, Senapati at the District HQ.
