Bishnupur: As observed across the country every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the District Administration, Bishnupur along with the various departments in the district observed national cleanliness day in their respective office premises today.
Speaking to media persons, Bishnupur ADC H. Bobby Sharma said that a clean environment promotes good health and encouraged all to consider cleanliness as a lifelong pursuit rather than perceiving it as a one-off responsibility only.
H. Bobby Sharma also mentioned that under the aegis of the District Administration, a month-long ‘Clean India’ campaign organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Bishnupur was launched yesterday at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat complex. During this month-long campaign, all single-use plastics from different villages and municipalities will be collected and disposed of appropriately, he stated.
