Guwahati: More than 92 fresh cases of COVID-19 have been detected all across the state in Assam on Tuesday.
With these detection the new cases of active tally has risen to 683.
There has been a gradual rise in COVID-19 cases in Assam.
Meanwhile, district officials in Sivsagar district has imposed restrictions in the district under section 144 to contain the spread of virus ahead of the Bihu festival.
Assam will celebrate its biggest festival Rongali Bihu starting April 14.
Notably, during the course of the Assam Assembly elections, COVID-19 protocols and other social distancing norms were violated rampantly. Large election rallies were conducted by all political parties without following any COVID appropriate behaviour.
