Imphal: Four persons were nabbed by Kangpokpi police on Saturday for looting the MSCB, Kangpokpi Branch.
Police said one Lamjalen Chongloi was identified by the bank staff from the CCTV footage.
He was arrested, and upon interrogation, the accused accepted the charges and was informed about the whereabouts of the other accomplices.
Three others, identified as Lengoumang Kipgen, Lunminthang Khongsai, and Seiminthang Khongsai, were arrested.
Police said a SIT was formed to investigate the case. The team got input from the bank that the culprits stole the yet-to-be issued ATM cards from the Bank.
The team tracked the ATM cards, and it was observed that the culprits used the cards to withdraw cash from ATMs located in Senapati and Kangpokpi. Based on this information, the team collected the CCTV footage from the banks according to procedure.
From the arrested individuals, the stolen properties were recovered, police said.
