Kakinada:A total of four candidates have filed their nominations for MLC elections from Godavari districts Local bodies constituency and the last date for filing nominations concluded on Thursday.
While Kudupudi Suryanarayana filed nomination as the ruling YSRCP candidate, Sai Durga filed papers on behalf of TDP. Two others Koteswerarao and Santhosham filed nominations as Independent candidates.
However the TDP has announced that it would not field any candidate .Tomorrow will be the Nominations scrutiny and the last date for withdrawal is February 27.
Hence the final list of candidates in the fray would be known only on February 27 evening.
Total of 1436 voters will be exercising their franchise in the polling stations spread over eight revenue divisions.
The polling is scheduled for March 13 and the counting will be held on March 16.
