Four deaths Sunday takes cumulative toll to 1,911 in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur reported four Covid related deaths, 63 positive cases (62 general population 1 CAPF) and 89 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday, as per an official release from the health department.

Three of the four who expired were from Imphal West while the other was from Chandel. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,911. Three of the expired had co-morbidities; two of them had been vaccinated with 2nd dose while the other two were not vaccinated at all.

Of the 62 persons who tested positive from the general population, 28 of them are from Imphal West, 17 from Imphal East, six from Churachandpur, Three each from Chandel and Ukhrul, two from Senapati and one each from Bishnupur, Kakching, Kangpokpi and Thoubal.

Altogether, 1,764 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 3.6 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 23,292 out of which 1,20,450 have recovered leaving 931 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 23, 2021, is 10,915 the cumulative number of doses administered is 18,87,214 (1st dose 12,41,394, 2nd dose 6,45,820).
