Imphal: Wednesday is the seventh day when Manipur has reported less than 1000 positive cases. In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday, Manipur saw 14 Covid related deaths, 765 new positive cases which included 2 personnel of CAPF and 1226 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 14 persons who succumbed to the deadly pandemic include four from Imphal West, two each from Churachandpur, Kak ching and Kangpokpi and one each from Imphal East, Bishnupur Chandel and Ukhrul. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,606.
Of the 14 persons who succumbed to Covid 19, three of them have been vaccinated with the 1st dose and 10 of them had co-morbidities.
The 763 persons(377 males, 386 females) who tested positive from amongst the general population include 285 from Imphal West, 149 from Imphal East, 100 from Bishnupur, 65 from Churachandpur, 51 from Thoubal, 22 from Kakching, 19 from Tengnoupal, 16 each from Chandel and Kangpokpi, 11 from Kamjong, eight from Senapati, seven from Tengnoupal, six from Pherzawl, five from Ukhrul, four from Jiribam and one from Noney
Altogether 5,295 persons were tested on Monday amounting for a positivity rate of 14.4%.
Meanwhile, of the 1,226 persons who were discharged, 633 are from home isolation, 334 from CHICs, 225 from CCCs, 18 from JNIMS and 16 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 89.52% on Thursday.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,01,390(General Population – 97,395, Central Security Personnel – 3,995). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 90,760(General Population – 86,820, Central Security Personnel – 3,949). The number of active cases is 9,025(General Population – 8,974, Personnel – 41).
Altogether, 10,011were vaccinated on August 3, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 13,47,537(1st dose 11,23,637, 2nd dose 2,23,900).
The total number of vacant beds available in the state as on August 4 at 6pm is 104 which include 80 general beds and 24 ICU/HDU beds, the release added.
