Imphal: International football player Ngangom Bala Devi was honoured by the Manipur government by appointing here as Inspector, Manipur Police on Friday.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh attended the pinning ceremony held at the CM Secretariat.
Bala Devi is a decorated football star and is the first Indian to join a European Club. On 6 December 2020, she became the first Indian to score in a professional football league in Europe.
Chief Minister also felicitated Elangbam Panthoi Chanu who was declared the best football player.
