Imphal: Representatives of Ekta Parishad, Manipur along with a folk singers team from Indore, Madhya Pradesh called on the Governor of Manipur, Miss Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan Sunday and apprised of the activities taken up by the Parishad in Imphal.
The team, which consists of folk singer Arun Goyal, highlighted their initiative to spread the message of peace, love and the idea of non-violence through their folk songs. They are planning to visit 12 relief camps in five districts till March 8, they informed.
The Governor appreciated their efforts in bringing back peace by spreading the message of peace and love and asked them to continue their endeavour in the best interest of the people of Manipur.
A team of women officers and staff of All India Radio, Imphal also called on Governor of Manipur, Miss Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Sunday.
