Imphal: Five persons from the general population tested Covid -19 positive and four persons were discharged after their recovery in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Wednesday in Manipur. During the same period, there were no reports of any Covid related death, as per an official press note from the Covid-19 Common Control Room
All five persons (2males and 3 females) are all from Imphal west. All necessary medical precautions like containment and contact tracing are in place. The four persons who recovered were all in home isolation.
The cumulative death remains at 374 while the recovery rate now stands at 98.48%.
Meanwhile, Health Department has instructed air passengers who travelled to the state on March 31, 2021, by the Indigo flight 6E-2251 in rows 16-22 and in rows 30-40 and by Air India flight AI-889 in rows 12-18 to inform Covid Common Control Room 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,400 (General Population — 25,956 and Central Security Personnel — 3,444). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,956 (General Population — 25,523 and CAPF— 3,433). The number of active cases is 70 (general population 63 and CAPF 5).
As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on March 29, is 313 and the cumulative vaccination number is 86044, the release added.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 315602which include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
