Imphal: Manipur reported five Covid related deaths, 216 positive cases (211 general population 5 CAPF) and 179 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm on Tuesday, as per an official release from the health department.
The five persons who succumbed to the deadly virus were from Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Thoubal and the cumulative death toll in the state rose to 1,894. All five persons who expired had co-morbidities and one of them had the 1st dose of Covid vaccination.
Of the 211 persons who tested positive, 180 are from Imphal West, 47 from Imphal East, 10 from Ukhrul, six from Kangpokpi, four each from Tamenglong and Kamjong, two each from Bishnupur, Senapati and Thoubal, and one each from Chandel and Kakching.
Altogether, 2,894 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 7.5 %
Of the 179 persons who were discharged, 70 are from home isolation, 81 from CCCs, six from CHICs, nine from RIMS and 13 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.68 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,20,216 out of which 1, 16,221 have recovered leaving 2,143 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on September 27, 2021, is 10,584 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,81,728 (1st dose 12,20,673, 2nd dose 4,61,055).
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 28 is 560 out of which 453 are general beds while 107 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 28 is 3467 out of which 642 are occupied and 2825 are vacant.
