Imphal: A blood donation camp was Sunday organised at the Blood Bank of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal by the Forum for Ex-Delhi Students (FEDS).
Former Manipur chief secretary Oinam Nabakishore, Elangbam Priyokumar, retired IG of Manipur Police department and nearly 30 members of the Forum donated blood.’
Speaking to media persons, O Nabakishore, also an advisor of the Forum, termed blood donation a humanitarian and social service which helped in saving the lives of other human beings. This will also help in providing a little support to those injured in the current violence.
They have collected some amount which will be distributed to relief camps.
The former top officer also appealed to both the warring communities to sit together and discuss bringing peace and normalcy to the state.
