Puducherry: Former AIADMK legislator K Parasuraman died of a heart attack here on Wednesday.
He is survived by his son and daughter.
Parasuraman, an advocate by profession, was felicitating the new bar association office-bearers after their installation ceremony held today when he fainted and fell down.
He was taken to the government general hospital here where he was declared by doctors that he died due to a heart attack.
The former MLA was elected to the territorial assembly in 1991 on an AIADMK ticket from the Orleanpet constituency and he held the post till 1996.
