Bishnupur: Entrepreneurship Discourse II was held Sunday at INA Memorial Hall in Moirang attended by entrepreneurs from various sectors. The program was organized by the District Administration, Bishnupur in association with Well Wisher Business Committee Manipur.

Speaking during the session on Emerging Manipur, Dr. Dhabali Thangjam, CMD, Babina Group remarked “if one is a pioneer in his chosen field, one will certainly become the leader of that sector”, while recalling the initial years of starting Babina Diagnostics. Sharing some of his success mantras in doing business, Dr. Dhabali Thangjam said that he was a risk taker and that he gave his best whenever he did anything. 

“Dream big which is realizable; and there is no substitute for hard” are some of Dr. Dhabali’s key messages for entrepreneurs for success.

Another speaker of the session Dr. Palin Khundongbam, CMD, Shija Hospitals stated that every enterprise must have scope for expansion and stressed the need for leaders to groom themselves to keep abreast of the surroundings. Dr. Palin continued that power comes from the consciousness of the power from within and also highlighted the need to capitalize human and intellectual resources.

The third speaker of the session N. Irabanta, CMD, UNACCO outlined the key variation between cash, profit and assets and stated that entrepreneurs must master efficient differentiation and management of the three. 

“Entrepreneurs are the real movers of society; and when there is a healthy competition amongst entrepreneurs, the real benefit goes to the society”, Irabanta cited. The session was moderated by S. Keshorjit, Faculty Member of MIMS.

In another discussion on Textile Industry, one of the speakers Indira Ksh of Chanu Creation opined that weavers need guidance for producing items which have global demand in addition to the traditional phanek, phi or khudei. The other speakers of the panel discussion on Textiles are Y. Shanti Kumar, National Handloom Development Corporation and E Jeeten Singh, Managing Director, MHHDC Ltd The session was moderated by L Manoranjan, CEO, KB Philanthropy 5.

In the Agripreneurship Session moderated by H. Anil, CEO, SYNAPX, the panelists include N. Shanta Singh, MD, Freshy Fresh, N. Gojendro, Director (Agriculture) and K. Devdutta, Mission Director, MOMA. 

N. Birajit Singh, Manager, SBI RBO Imphal and Anand Sapam were the panelists in the Banking Session moderated by H. Thokchom.

Lourembam Bikram, DC Bishnupur, H. Bobby Sharma, ADC, Ejaj Hassan, AC to DC, several DLOs and staff also attended the program.
