Imphal: Eight persons from the general public tested Covid-19 positive while seven persons recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Sunday. During the same period, there were no reports of any Covid related death, as per an official press note from the Covid-19 Common Control Room
The eight persons (3 males, 5 female) who tested positive include 3 each from Imphal West, and Imphal East, and 1 each from Churachandpur and Ukhrul. Meanwhile, of the seven persons who were discharged, 3 of them were on home isolation, 2 of them are from RD Wing and 1 each from CAPF and SHRI.
The cumulative death remains at 374 while the recovery rate now stands at 98.52%
Meanwhile, Health Department has instructed air passengers who travelled to the state on April 2, 2021 by the Indigo flight 6E-6181 in rows 4-10 to inform Covid Common Control Room 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,423 (General Population — 25,977 and Central Security Personnel — 3,446). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,988 (General Population — 25,554 and CAPF— 3,434). The number of active cases is 61 (general population 53 and CAPF 8).
As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on April 2, is 901 and the cumulative vaccination number is 87641, the release added.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 31694 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
