Drug worth Rs 2.5 cr seized in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur Police seized drugs and other banned items worth about Rs 2.5 cr on Friday night at Motbung Pangmol, Kangpokpi district, police on Saturday said.

According to Police, Special commando unit of Manipur Police in connection with the “War on Drugs” launched by Manipur government were frisking and checking people at Motbung Pangmol and they apprehended one Paomilen Haokip with suspected brown sugars, Opium, 4000 WY tablets, cash and mobile phones.

The seized items were worth about Rs 2.5 cr. The man was handed over to Saparmeina PS for further necessary legal action
