Imphal: Health and IPR Minister, Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh has said that a survey of different diseases is needed and its updated data need to be maintained.
Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the Inaugural Programme of the “One Day Orientation Programme” for nurses on the theme of “Prevention, Early Identification and Early Intervention of Developmental Disabilities” held at mini auditorium RIMS, Imphal, Thursday.
He said that a maximum number of the public do not know their health status. Regular testing of our health and updating health status will help to reduce life risk and expenditure. Minister informed that preventive measures will help to bring a good health care system.
Dr. Ranjan maintained that the departments of Health, Social Welfare, and Education need to be tied up and work together in mutual coordination. There have been instances of joint ventures of the three, earlier. Necessary measures will be taken up to bring global health, he added.
Minister Ranjan informed that nurses play a very important role in the health care system. He advised nurses to render their service sincerely and with dedication. They should realize that they play a motivational role. Trainee nurses also should get ideas and share knowledge with others after every training or seminar, he added.
Speaking as the president of the occasion Director RIMS, Prof. Dr. A. Shanta said that the disability of an individual maybe because of the negligence during the pregnancy period of a mother. We need to be aware of the possible outcomes when we are careless during this stage, he maintained.
