Morena: More than three-dozen peafowls died over the past four days in this district following consumption of poisoned rice grain.

“Autopsy reports are awaited,” Deputy Director (Veterinary) R Tyagi said here on Monday.

Unfortunately, peafowls are in considerable demand at hotels in metropolitan cities and feathers also fetch high prices.
