New Delhi: BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday greeted people of Manipur on their statehood day and reminded them it was the efforts of ‘double-engine’ government of Modi and Biren Singh working continuously that has brought development to the state in the past five years.

“Warm wishes to the people of Manipur on their Statehood day. Under the able leadership of PM Narendra Modi Ji & Chief Minister N Biren Singh Ji, the double-engine government is continuously working for the development of the state. May the state be bestowed with prosperity and keep thriving,” Nadda tweeted.

Last month Nadda during his visit to the poll-bound state, lauded the Biren Singh-led government for successfully introducing and implementing people-oriented schemes.

Assembly elections in Manipur will be held in two phases on February 27 and March 3.

Nadda also greeted the people of Tripura and Meghalaya on the occasion of their statehood day.

In a series of tweets, the BJP leader said: “I extend my wishes to the people of Tripura on their Statehood Day. CM Biplab Deb Ji is doing great work for the development of the State. I am sure that the state will continue to flourish, attain success and scale new heights.”

“Greetings to all the sisters and brothers of Meghalaya on their Statehood day. The state is progressing well under the leadership of CM Conrad Sangma Ji. May the state continue to prosper and scale new heights of development in the years to come,” Nadda said.
