Serchhip: A second press briefing on 26 Serchhip ST AC bye-election was held at DC Meeting Hall by District Magistrate, Kumar Abhishek, who is also the Returning Officer of the election, in the presence of Superintendent of Police Stephen Lalrinawma, Saturday.
During the briefing Kumar Abhishek highlighted the election schedule notified by the Election Commission of India and their preparedness to hold a peaceful, free and fair bye-election. He also pointed out that on the last date of withdrawal of candidatures no candidate withdrew their nomination and that six candidates shall be contesting this bye election. Their names, addresses and symbol allotted are as below:

Serchhip SP, Stephen Lalrinawma, also highlighted various security measures that have been taken so far and other important security plans for the election.
