DC Kolasib brief members of MJA on lockdown guidelines

Kolasib: Deputy Commissioner today briefed the members of Mizoram Journalist Association, Kolasib, on the guidelines to be followed during the extension of lockdown, which will last till 17th May, 2021.

Deputy Commissioner Dr HLalthlangliana mentioned that there were 10 duty points along the main roads within Kolasib town, which were being monitored by Covid-19 executive duty personnel, authorized to impose fine and penalties. Reiterating the importance of staying at home, the DC pointed out that most of the Covid-19 positive cases found within Kolasib town were mainly through contact between neighbours and relatives.

While replying questions from the MJA members, Kolasib DC said that all Covid-19 positive case in the district were being taken care at the Govt. Covid-19 Care Centre till date and that more establishments may be set up at other locations such as Kawnpui, Bairabi, Bilkhawthlir and Vairengte in future, if necessary.

Also, to help the District Level Task Force on Covid-19, Kolasib district, Hmar Veng Presbyterian Church donated Rs.50,000 to the DC this morning.
