Kangpokpi: Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi, Kengoo Zuringla, Thursday met with the District Level Officers (DLOs) over the preparations and execution strategies for Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign to be held as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The discussion was also held with all the officers of the government departments regarding the final arrangements made for the District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyam Gi Numit to be held tomorrow at the Sadbhavna Mandap, Kangpokpi from 9 am onwards.
Speaking regarding the HGT campaign, Kengoo Zuringla said that 43,196 flags are required for the Kangpokpi district which will be hoisted across the district from August 13-15, 2022. Office of the Divisional Forest Officer will make arrangements of the sticks for the flags and in case institutions require sticks then the numbers of requirements have to be intimated to DC Office by July 28, 2022, she said.
She stated that the objective of organising the campaign is to encourage citizens to hoist the National flag of India in their homes to mark the 75thIndependence Day celebration. She said that it is to instill the feeling of patriotism and acknowledge the journey of India in the last 75 years.
Stating that various activities will be held as part of the campaign like the painting and slogan writing competition in schools and colleges from August 8-12, 2022, she said as per the plan of the campaign flags will be hoisted in all the schools of the district, prizes for best painting and slogans will be distributed on August 15, 2022.
She informed that hoardings will be put up at five locations namely Gamgiphai, Yaikongpao, Motbung, Leikop and Kangpokpi HQ. She further said that wall painting on relevant themes, historical figures, or events among others will also be the highlight of the campaign. She also asked the officers to identify and contact local entrepreneurs for making and selling flags.
Regarding the District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyam Gi Numit to be held tomorrow, she asked the Government departments to address the grievances of the people and to give maximum services without any delay. She also advised all the officers to solve the grievances/issues on the day itself if possible.
