Imphal: District Magistrate, Tengnoupal District Mannuamching Tuesday imposed section 144 of Cr PC in the whole area of Khoibu Centre, Machi Sub Division, Tengnoupal District.
This follows the report of Superintendent of Police, Tengnoupal Tuesday that there is apprehension of violence and breach of law and order in whole area of Khoibu Centre, Machi Sub Division, Tengnoupal District.
The oder prohibits with immediate effect and until further orders, the assembly of five or more persons which is likely to turm unlawful, carrying of sticks, stones, firearms without a valid license, weapons or objects of any description which can be used as offensive weapons in the whole area of Khoibu Centre, Machi Sub Division, Tengnoupal District Manipur.
This order will not apply to agencies of the Government involved in the enforcement of law and order and the maintenance of essential services.
