Covid: Three more succumb Friday in Manipur

All three of them had co-morbidities and one of them was fully vaccinated while the rest wre not vaccinated at all.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday, three more persons succumbed to Covid while 36 persons got infected with coronavirus and 60 persons recovered in Manipur, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The three persons who expired due to the deadly virus are from Imphal East, Thoubal and Churachandpur. All three of them had co-morbidities and one of them was fully vaccinated while the rest wre not vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll of the state now stands at 2108.

Of the 36 persons from the general population who tested positive, nine are from Imphal West, eight from Ukhrul, seven from Imphal East, four from Kakching, two each from Senapati and Tamenglong and one each from Bishnupur, Noney and Chandel.

Altogether 1,041 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 3.5 % 

Meanwhile,60 persons recovered and were discharged, 46 of them from home isolation, six from CCCs, five from JNIMS and three from RIMS. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.07 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 690 out of which 1, 34, 046 have recovered leaving 536 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 24, 2022, is 5,184, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,91, 527 (1st dose 15,06, 079, 2nd dose 11,27, 262) and precautionary dose 58,086.
