Covid: Seven positive cases reported in Manipur Sunday

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday, seven persons tested positive and one person recovered in Manipur.

During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related death in the State, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the seven persons who tested positive, three are from Churachandpur, two from Imphal East and one each from Imphal West and Thoubal. Altogether, 406 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.6 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 738 of which 1, 37,529 have recovered leaving 61 active cases in the state.

As on September 3, 2022, 136 D-type oxygen cylinders and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on September 4, 2022 is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which seven are occupied and 31 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which four are occupied and 58 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on September 3, is 1,465, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,91,298 (1st dose 16,33,947, 2nd dose 13,08,366) and precautionary dose is 2,48,985.
