Imphal: The positivity rate in Manipur improved to 6.6 % on Tuesday from 8.8 % the day before as 197 persons (117 general population 20 CAPF) tested positive out of a total of 3,062 persons tested. The state also saw 4 Covid related deaths and 203 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 3 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus were from Imphal East, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 18315
The 177 persons (88 males, 89 females) from the general population who tested positive include 78 from Imphal West, 47 from Imphal East, 24 from Ukhrul, 20 from Churachandpur, 9 7 each from Kakching and Kangpokpi, 4 each from Senapati and Tamenglong, 3 from Bishnupur and 1 each from Chandel, Kamjong and Thoubal.
Of the 234 persons who were discharged, 56 were from home isolation, 125 from CCCs, 6 from CHICs, 8 from RIMS and 8 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.63 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,18,870 (General Population – 1, 14,610, Central Security Personnel 4,260). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 14,861 (General Population – 1, 10,673, Central Security Personnel – 4,188). The number of active cases is 2,174 (General Population – 2,107, Personnel – 67).
The total number of doses administered on September 20, 2021, is 7,287 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,33,873 (1st dose 12,15,215, 2nd dose 4,18,658).
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 21 is 532 out of which 425 are general beds while 107 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 21 is 3467 out of which 691 are occupied and 2776 are vacant.
