COVID found in 17 more in Nagaland

. With one more report of the death of a COVID patient in Dimapur, the death tally rose to 689 during the day.

Kohima: In the latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, the number has increased to 17 new cases Saturday, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases to 31,922 so far and with one more death report, the death toll rose to 689.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin Sunday, among the 11 fresh COVID cases Saturday, the new cases were detected from five districts of Nagaland, with 13 cases in Dimapur, one case in Kiphire, one in Kohima, one in Mokokchung and one in Phek, from 695 samples that were tested on Saturday, all 17 cases were from random sampling and self-tests, taking the total caseload to 31922.

On the recovery of COVID-19 infected patients in the State, altogether 13 patients recovered from the pandemic with nine from Dimapur and four from Kohima on Saturday, taking the cumulative total of recovered cases to 29,998 with a recovery rate of 93.97 per cent.

Nagaland currently has 188 active cases of COVID-19, out of which 154 patients were asymptomatic, 19 were mild symptoms, four were moderate symptoms, six were severe symptoms and five were on ventilators in the ICU. With one more report of the death of a COVID patient in Dimapur, the death tally rose to 689 during the day.
