Covid: 3 deaths, 110 new cases in Manipur Saturday

The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2080.

Imphal: In the last 24-hour leading up to 2 pm of Saturday, three persons succumbed to Covid-19, 110 persons (108 general population, Two CAPF) tested positive and 131 persons recovered and were discharged in Manipur, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The three deceased persons were from Imphal West, Imphal East and Thoubal. All three of them had co-morbidities; one had taken the 1st dose of Covid vaccine while the other two had taken any dose of the vaccine. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2080.

Of the 108persons from the general population who tested positive, 29 each are from Imphal West and Imphal East, 14 from Bishnupur, seven from Kakching, four each from Churachandpur and Ukhrul, three each from Kangpokpi and Chandel and one each from Tengnoupal, Noney and Senapati. Altogether 1,600 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 6.9 %

Meanwhile, 131 persons recovered and were discharged, 83 from home isolation, 22 from CCCs, 18 from JNIMS and eight from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 96.76 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 35, 748 out of which 1, 31, 347 have recovered, leaving 2,321 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 11, 2022, is 7,712, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,22,092 (1st dose 14,81,507, 2nd dose 10,92,244) and precautionary dose 48,341.
