Covid: 2 more deaths take cumulative toll to 1,862 in Manipur

Of the 119 persons who were discharged, 48 are from home isolation, 54 from CCCs, four from CHICs, 11 from JNIMS and two from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.59 %.

Imphal: Manipur reported two Covid related deaths, 167 new positive cases and 119 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday, as per an official release from the health department.

Both the persons who expired today belonged to Imphal East. With these two deaths, the cumulative death toll in the state rose to 1,862. Both the person who expired had co-morbidities and both of them were not vaccinated for Covid.

Of the 167 persons who tested positive from the general population, 98 are from Imphal West, 27 from Imphal East, 11 from Thoubal, seven from Ukhrul, three from Kakching, two each from Churachandpur, Kamjong, Kangpokpi and Senapati.

Of the 119 persons who were discharged, 48 are from home isolation, 54 from CCCs, four from CHICs, 11 from JNIMS and two from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.59 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 21,046 out of which 1, 16,922 have recovered leaving 2,262 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 2, 2021, is 4,720 and the cumulative number doses administered is 17, 18,630 (1st dose 12,25,774, 2nd dose 4,93,056).

The total numbers of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 3 is 569 out of which 455 are general beds while 114 are ICU beds.
